OrangePC 620 in 2023
Notes:
- If using Ethernet Mac OS 9 should be set to a static IP, while allowing Windows 98 to utilize DHCP or a different static IP. Otherwise, due to the same MAC being present in OS9 and w98, the DHCP server will assign the same IP. This leads to an IP conflict.
- A BIOS mod exists in order to allow the card to recognize K6-3 CPUs see https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=83107&start=40

- SMB v1 (used on w98) is disabled in Windows 10+. gpedit.msc / regedit have to be used to enable it. SMB v1 is also disabled on many Linux distros, to re-enable edit /etc/samba/smb.conf, adding:
server min protocol = NT1
client min protocol = NT1
- below “workgroup = WORKGROUP”
- Note: SMB1 is very insecure and thus this is why it is disabled by default.
- If the card does not see the CD-ROM drive, use “SCSI Probe 5.2” and mount the drive on the OS9 side, in order to enable it for access on the x86 side. (https://www.macintoshrepository.org/2125-scsiprobe)
